Gators look to avoid upset to Mountaineers at home

The company line likely would have been the same had Florida beaten South Carolina on Saturday.

Appalachian State is a good team. We're taking it one game at a time. We want to send our seniors out with a win.

But after a loss to the Gamecocks, the Gators (6-4, 4-4 SEC) head into Saturday's game against the Mountaineers with a little more sincerity in what is normally clichéd coach speak.

"Make no mistake about it, the team we're playing, this isn't some clown show now," said coach Urban Meyer. "This is a real one."
